I got out on my own today and managed only to get a little lost.  While I didn’t have the camera and only went to places I had already been, it was nice to take in the surroundings on my own time.

When I returned to the flat Sergio came back and we were off to 2 more openings.  Tonight we saw a David Lynch exhibition of lithographs and film samplings.  What a find!  I was super excited to check this out and although it was small, it was a lovely space to see.  Evidently, I will be part of an exhibit in this very same space in September.  Wow.

We also saw an exhibit that responded to the fall of fascism in Zaragoza/Spain in the 80’s.  It’s really odd to think that Franco’s reign was within my lifetime.  For some reason, I already knew that but in seeing some of the imagery made it less of a newsclip and more of a reality.  One exciting thing for me is that I got to see a piece done by Esther (whom I met last night), as a part of the exhibit.

Then we were off to another exhibit entitled Africa Bella.  Very sparse compositions with alarming color combinations and flat figures overlaid in them….

Then we went to yet another art space and looked a colorful installation.  Sergio explained to me that it is run by a bank and would never display nudes.  I guess everyone has their limits…

Finally we rounded out the day with salad and a movie.  Tomorrow we are off to Huesca which is about 40 minutes from here to see Sergio’s exhibit.  Coolio!

Ps. I get to see my fabulous studio on Monday… Sergio has ordered me to do a bit of site seeing first!!
